Karen works as a researcher in Portland's Nairobi office leading on research and media monitoring in support of Portland's Africa-focused clients
She joined Portland in December 2009, having worked as a reporter for Citizen TV in Kenya and researcher and journalist for CNBC Africa
She has carried out various management consultancy projects with Ive Design, eBusiness UK, Wyatt International, Amazon.co.uk and Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation
Karen holds a BA in Journalism & International Relations from United States International University, Kenya and an MBA (Marketing and Strategy) from Lancaster University, England
